CADAR “Circle of Light” by VENINI

Fine jewelry house CADAR presents its luxury candle collection, Circle of Light™.

The brand's expansion into a new category was designed in collaboration with legendary Italian glassmaker VENINI and master perfumer ALBERTO MORILLAS.

The candle collection fuses heritage and innovation through exquisite modular glass vessels. Each handmade design is composed of two to three distinct parts that unite to form a complete sphere.

Infused with signature scents, the candles are designed to be enjoyed individually or layered to create a personalized design and olfactory experience.

Below you will find short presentations of CADAR and designer Michal Kadar, VENINI and ALBERTO MORILLAS.

The CADAR story

CADAR is a modern luxury jewelry house based in New York, celebrated for its art-forward design, impeccable craftsmanship, and bold interpretation of 18k gold. Founded in 2015 by visionary designer Michal Kadar and her husband Avraham Kadar, the brand has become one of the most compelling voices in contemporary fine jewelry.

Rooted in the belief that jewelry should move with light and express emotion, CADAR reimagines gold as a sculptural, fluid material, handcrafted by master artisans in Italy and New York. This commitment to artistry has earned the House significant industry recognition, including FGI “Rising Star,” COUTURE Best in Gold, and Town & Country’s “Gold Design of the Year.”

In September 2025, CADAR opened its first flagship boutique in New York City’s Meatpacking District, a space designed as a living expression of the brand’s aesthetic codes, merging luxury retail with art, light, and architectural storytelling.

Michal Kadar

CADAR was founded in 2015 by New York-based designer Michal Kadar. Building on her career in fashion, Michal conceives jewelry like a wardrobe, reimagining gold like textiles, coaxing out softness that flows over every curve. Combining lush texture, movement and polished effects that catch the light, CADAR pieces illuminate their wearer, a signature known as The Golden Movement™.

Elegant and empowering, each jewel crafted in 18-karat yellow gold, with or without a sprinkling of diamonds, conveys the CADAR design ethos, a synthesis of fashion, art, architecture and the natural world.

Every CADAR creation is more than a jewel: it is wearable art, a conversation starter designed to take on greater meaning over time, create lasting memories, and weave unique beauty into the intricate tapestry of life.

"Jewels are meant to be enjoyed. Each piece has vitality, it moves with the wearer to express a moment in time."

Alberto Morillas

In the warmth of Andalusia, the scents of orange blossom, jasmine, rosemary and incense bathed her youth.

Before heading off to school, it was traditional to comb one's hair and perfume with Cologne, which could be bought by the liter at the pharmacy. Cologne's characteristic scent of cleanliness was the first fragrance to awaken his sensibilities. Having followed his parents into exile in Switzerland when he was just 11, Alberto Morillas continued to frequent perfume shops, which at the time was rather rare for boys his age. His fascination with Old Spice, its cinnamon and spice scents, and later Dior's L'Eau Sauvage and Caron's Un Homme were the first fragrances he wore on his own initiative.

However, he had no idea that behind each of them lay a creator and, consequently, a profession. The turning point came in 1970, when he was studying at the Beaux-arts in Geneva, and reading a portrait of Jean-Paul Guerlain in Vogue radically changed his perception of the perfume profession. Although he didn't have a doctorate in chemistry, he managed to convince Firmenich to offer him a position in the scientific research department on natural essences headed by Dr. Säuberli. In direct contact with the designers who entered the laboratory, Alberto Morillas perfected his knowledge of fine perfumery and began to compose his own perfumes on the sly, despite the ban. Defying the rules, he presented his first juice to the company's management... an act that marked his entry into the world of perfumery.

Attracted and surprised Firmenich then proposed to the young man who "creates perfumes without being a perfumer" to cross the Atlantic and pursue specific training in New York. He obtained the title of Perfumer in 1977 and that of Master Perfumer in 1998.

Famous for creating some of the most famous modern fragrances, such as CK One (Calvin Klein), Acqua di Giò (Armani), Flower by Kenzo (Kenzo), Tommy (Tommy Hilfiger), Opium (Yves Saint Laurent), Must (Cartier), Pi (Givenchy).

VENINI

Founded in 1921 by Paolo Venini, a Milanese lawyer, and Giacomo Cappellin, a Venetian antiques dealer, Venini SpA, then Cappellin – Venini & C., would become a benchmark in the world of artistic glass, laying the foundations of the stylistic identity that still distinguishes it today. Over the years, Venini has undertaken significant joint projects with artists such as Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Vittorio Zecchin, and, after the war, with Gio Ponti and Mimmo Rotella, not to mention the contributions of contemporary designers and architects such as Tadao Ando, Gae Aulenti, Massimiliano Fuksas, Ettore Sottsass, Emmanuel Babled, Alessandro Mendini, Ron Arad and Peter Marino.

The forms and style of the original artistic production are thus continuously refreshed. Creations bearing the Venini signature have become part of the permanent collections of museums of such calibre as the Metropolitan Museum and MoMA in New York, the Fondation Cartier in Paris, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Venini’s own museum contains 45.000 drawings, 10.000 vintage photos and 4.000 works of art, making it the most precious historical archive of modern and contemporary glass art in the world.

The uniqueness of Venini’s production is given by handcraft procedures followed during all working processes. Some shades or bubbles, that might be found on the glass, underline that every single piece is entirely handmade and even if similar to the others, each single piece is unique.
Each product is signed, some collections are limited editions.

The bold and original designs of Venini glass have been creating emotion since 1921.
Art, colour, quality, uniqueness and artisanship.
The light diffused through its colours and the intricate techniques used make every item of
Venini glass art unique in fascination and contemporary value, adding a magical atmosphere to all environments.
