💛Salone del Mobile 2025 in Rho, Milan, an event not to be missed during Milan Design Week.

Today we will talk about GUFRAM, an iconic brand without a shadow of a doubt and that you visit no matter what.

From the frenzy inherent in the mdw, from the schedule, from the rush, from the tiredness, from the fear of missing out on some news or event.

And… we tell you something obvious: it is a certainty that you will miss something, but it is part of the game and the charm of this week which is the most important moment, on a global level, concerning the industrial design sector, in particular the furniture sector.

Below you will find information about GUFRAM, for which we thank the Press Office and our photos, with the hope that you like them.

Enjoy the reading.

Italian Radical Design, the group founded by Sandra and Charley Vezza to preserve and elevate Italy’s most audacious and unconventional design brands, returns to Salone del Mobile 2025 with an expanded presence at Fiera Milano Rho.
The exhibition concept, designed by architecture studio (AB)NORMAL, marks a shift from the museum-like approach of the previous edition, experimenting with new ways to interpret and experience domestic spaces through a radical and innovative lens.
In this context, GUFRAM transforms the domestic environment into a laboratory of experimentation, starting from the principles of design to explore uncharted paths, redefining the boundaries between art, function, and provocation. GUFRAM’s exhibition is not merely a display of iconic pieces, but a constantly evolving ecosystem; from seating to domestic sculptures, every object contributes to rewriting the language of living. Function is never a constraint but a pretext for subverting the ordinary: in a GUFRAM-designed interior, nothing is normalized, and every element stands as a manifesto of creative freedom and an invitation to explore design as an ongoing act of innovation.

PRODUCTS:
This year, GUFRAM expands its catalog with new projects and fresh interpretations of its most iconic pieces, pairing the works of design greats who have shaped history with collaborations with prominent figures from the contemporary scene. The brand aims to capture an ever-growing audience, all while staying true to its irreverent character.

Boring Cactus®
GUFRAM surprises once again with Boring Cactus®, a grey, matte finished version of the iconic Cactus® by Drocco and Mello. Through a playful blend of irony and provocation, the brand transforms boredom into a bold new aesthetic statement. This edition retains the versatility of the original, seamlessly adapting to both eclectic and minimalist environments, reaffirming its status as an icon at the intersection of art and design.

Mano
Mano by Cinzia Ruggeri (2000) is a domestic sculpture that also serves as seating, embodying the ambiguity between functionality and art. Its open form evokes a gesture of greeting, an invitation, or a stop sign, while the black velvet upholstery enhances its enigmatic character. A visionary piece that reflects the radical thinking of the designer.

Sculpted Mirror
Designed by Snarkitecture, Sculpted Mirror is a mirror-sculpture that challenges perception with its irregular, fluid shape. An evolution of the Broken Mirror project, this creation explores new production possibilities, making this reflective object more accessible. Made from sof polyurethane and finished with Guflac®, it transforms the everyday act of looking into a mirror into a changing, evocative experience.

Steam Table
Steam Table by Studio Job is a limited-edition coffee table, with only 100 pieces, that transforms smoke into solid matter. A golden pot appears to bubble, while a column of steam solidifies into the tabletop, playing with irony and surrealism. GUFRAM’s craftsmanship in shaping polyurethane makes this illusion tangible, blending art and design into a contemporary fairytale.

Pratone® Infinito
Pratone® Infinito reinvents the iconic 1971 design by Ceretti, Derossi, and Rosso with a more solid texture and mass-produced version, preserving its radical spirit. Thanks to GUFRAM’s innovation, this interactive sculpture becomes even more accessible, transforming any space into an oasis of play and relaxation. A tribute to the history of Italian design projected into the future.

Sess
Designed between 1968 and 1969 by Nani Prina, the Sess seating piece playfully challenges the boundary between a lounge chair and a chaise longue. Its sinuous lines create a hypnotic effect, blending art, comfort, and provocation. Upholstered in soft, sophisticated fabrics, this sculptural seat embodies GUFRAM’s visionary radicalism, bringing a touch of revolution to contemporary interiors.

Luna Luna
Accessible, instantly recognizable, and timeless: Keith Haring’s art fused the brilliance of Pop Art with the direct energy of graffiti. What better opportunity for GUFRAM, emblematic of radical design, to engage with this legacy? Both, deeply rooted in their respective fields, share a global vision, an iconic stylistic signature, and a history of ambitious projects.
The point of connection between the two is Luna Luna, the first amusement park created by artists, inaugurated in Hamburg 37 years ago. A visionary project that involved talents such as Jean-Michel
Basquiat, David Hockney, Sonia Delaunay, and Rebecca Horn. Among them, Keith Haring brought to life a carousel, transforming his iconic two-dimensional lines into a dynamic sculpture. His animated figures decorate seats and panels, creating an immersive, ironic, and poetic work.
Following the reopening of the artist-run amusement park at The Shed in New York, GUFRAM collaborates with Luna Luna on an exclusive re edition: two carousel seats – the Dog and the Crawling Baby – are reproduced in soft polyurethane with Guflac® Ultra finish. An initiative that brings the energy of Haring from the fairground to domestic spaces, transforming play into design.
