NARDI: Labyrinth Garden by Raffaello Galiotto (greenery partner: Paghera group)

Labyrinth Garden, our evocative open-air labyrinth project designed by Raffaello Galiotto, which took shape in the Cortile del Settecento (18th-century courtyard) of the University of Milan during the days of Milano Design Week in June, from the outset also envisaged strict regulations for dismantling it so that nothing was wasted or thrown away. 
The 850 bamboo plants and 6 feather reed grass plants that provided the green setting for the installation were donated to the Lodi Campus of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Milan. 

Transported using suitable means by Paghera, the technical partner of the installation, they will be used in a project to upgrade the outdoor area of the university. 
The 419 Sipario elements and the Stack and Combo table and stool ensembles, all made of recycled plastic, positioned in some areas of the labyrinth were brought back to our company, cleaned and offered for sale at second-hand prices.
The central tower, which afforded an impressive view of the labyrinth design from above, was dismantled and returned to our company, destined for another installation project, whereas the lawn of the 18th-century courtyard was entirely restored (www.nardioutdoor.com).

An experiential layout: those who enter the maze are invited to find, by trial and error, the way out by moving to the tower at the centre of the area from which, by climbing up and looking at the entire maze, the way out can be seen. Labyrinth Garden is not just for a moment’s fun but is also e metaphor of the time of confusion we are living through, characterized by problems such as environment, health, peace: rising above the maze to look beyond, viewing ways out and finding answers(www.internimagazine.it).
